www.PL.World (Polish World) already lists more than 8,000 businesses, mostly in Illinois, New York and New Jersey. For each one we show what we know: address, phone, website, opening hours and category. Searching and details are free.
Polish Virtual Bridge
www.PL.World (Polish World) is a Polish community service open to the whole world. We are building the Polish Virtual Bridge in it, a virtual bridge that is meant to connect Poles, Poland and businesses from different countries in one place.
That the service was created in the USA does not mean it is only for the Polish community in the USA. It connects the Polish community mainly with the USA, but not only. At the start we mainly connect Americans and American businesses with the Polish community and Polish-community businesses in the USA and Canada. At the same time we want to connect people and businesses from Poland with people and businesses in the USA, and in the end worldwide. We are open to any form of cooperation, wherever you are.
In the end it is one platform for three kinds of contact: person to person (c2c), business to customer (b2c) and business to business (b2b). Today the business directory and the collection of requests work. We add the rest in stages.
Our platforms are free and are meant to stay free. In some places there will be premium options, always labeled.
How to search
Type a business name, a phone number, or a link to its website, Google profile, Facebook, LinkedIn or Instagram. Results appear as you type, and a click opens the business page. Searching by type of service works for now only when that word is in the business name. Full search by service and city comes in later stages.
What a business page shows
Address, phone, website, opening hours and profiles online, where we know them, plus similar businesses from the same city. See an example: Media Express, the company that runs pl.world. It is listed like any other business, facts only.
Where the data comes from
From public sources. It can be out of date, because businesses move, change numbers and close. We state facts and do not copy other people's descriptions. If something is wrong, or you want a listing removed, write to mail@pl.world.
Add or claim a business
Is your business missing? Paste its website, a phone number, or a link to Google, Facebook or LinkedIn, and we show matching listings from our database. Is it yours? Click "This is my business" on its page. We check that you are the owner and update the listing. It costs nothing. Add or claim a business.
What it costs
Searching, asking and details are free, and they are meant to stay free. A basic business listing is meant to be free. Businesses that want a higher place in chosen locations and categories will be able to buy a premium listing. We always label paid places, and payment does not change the order of the regular results. We do not sell paid listings yet. More in the questions and answers.
