Frequently asked questions
Answers about pl.world. The list grows with the questions we get. Did not find your answer? Write to mail@pl.world.
What is pl.world?
pl.world is Polish World, a Polish network of businesses and people run by Media Express LLC in Chicago. We start with the Polish community in the USA and with Poland, and the goal is to connect people who look for something with the businesses that offer it, worldwide. The site is under construction: today we collect requests, and results from the business database come in the next stages.
Is pl.world paid?
Searching, asking and details are free, and they are meant to stay free. A basic business listing is meant to be free. Businesses that want a higher place in chosen locations and categories will be able to buy a premium listing on several levels. We always label paid places, and payment does not change the order of the regular results. We do not sell paid listings yet.
How does it work today?
You type what you look for or what you offer, and a place. You can write in Polish, English or another language. We save the request, and if you give an e-mail we will tell you when we find businesses or offers that fit it. Results from our business database come in the next stage.
Which languages can I use?
Any language. We work best in Polish and English, and we also save and read requests in other languages.
Is it only for the Polish community?
We start with the Polish community in the USA and with Poland, but pl.world is meant to be open to everyone. An American looking for a Polish cleaner or a Polonia repair shop is welcome too.
What happens to my request?
We save what you type: what you look for or offer, the place, your answers to the questions, and your e-mail if you give it. The data goes to the mailbox mail@pl.world and to storage on our server, and we keep it for up to 12 months. We do not sell it. Details are on the Privacy page.
How do I delete my data?
Write to mail@pl.world from the e-mail address you used, and we will delete your data.
